Following the Opposition’s exit from the Assembly on Monday afternoon, which included the Left Front, the Congress, and the Rashtriya Janata Dal, which is led by former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the “born-again” Janata Dal (United)-BJP government easily passed a trust vote.
The JDU-BJP coalition won 130-0 in the end and also managed to steal three votes away from Mr. Yadav’s RJD. In the 243-member Assembly, 122 votes was the majority mark.
There was a lot of drama earlier today following Nitish Kumar’s official request for the Assembly’s support.
