In Bihar, JD (U) has made massive gains leaving lallu Yadav’s RJD behind.

BJP’s losses are significant in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh where Chandra Babu Naidu is back in the saddle with his TDP , and to an extent, Telangana.

Among the significant losers are Smriti Irani from Amethi who was routed by Cong’s KL Sharma. The Congress led in 97 seats out of 542, while the BJP led in 242. This indicates that the opposition party’s 52 seats from the previous election have increased and the ruling party’s 303 seats from 2019 have decreased. In the aftermath of a bitter election, the opposition may have more teeth and the Treasury benches smaller.

Trends that were available until 11.45 am showed that the opposition INDIA bloc had made significant gains, and the NDA was comfortably over the magic figure of 272.

The most influential state in terms of politics in the nation, Uttar Pradesh, which has 80 MPs in the Lok Sabha, and the BJP’s stronghold were set to change the game and demolish the ruling NDA, which had begun Election 2024 on a promise of “400 par.”
