In a significant development, Ayazuddin Siddiqui, elder brother of renowned Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has been arrested by the Budhana police on charges of forgery. The arrest took place on Wednesday, May 22, as reported by DNA.
Ayazuddin Siddiqui is accused of illegally issuing a fraudulent order letter to the consolidation department, falsely representing it as an official directive from the District Magistrate court. The incident is linked to an ongoing farming land dispute involving Ayazuddin and another individual named Javed Iqbal. The forgery came to light when the District Magistrate discovered the fake order and subsequently filed a complaint. Ayazuddin has been booked under sections 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery of valuable security), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), and 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of the Indian Penal Code.
This is not the first time Ayazuddin Siddiqui has found himself in legal trouble. In 2018, he faced accusations of hurting religious sentiments after allegedly sharing an offensive photo on social media.
The Siddiqui family has been in the spotlight for various controversies, including the recent tumultuous separation of Nawazuddin Siddiqui from his wife, Aaliya Siddiqui. In May 2020, Aaliya served Nawazuddin with a divorce notice, citing long-standing marital issues and accusations of violence against Nawazuddin’s other brother, Shamas.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Aaliya has decided to withdraw her divorce notice and expressed her intention to reconcile with Nawazuddin. In a statement to E-Times, Aaliya shared, “In recent times, a few things have changed in my life. I felt that when we shared bad things with the world, we should also share the good ones. Nawaz was also here so we celebrated the anniversary with the kids.”
She further explained that the couple’s problems were exacerbated by external influences but they have now resolved their misunderstandings for the sake of their children. “There’s no option of being apart in life now, because the kids are also growing up. Also, Nawaz is very close to Shora and she was very disturbed after whatever happened. She couldn’t tolerate it. So we decided that we are not going to fight anymore and will live together, peacefully,” Aaliya added.
