The announcement was made by Star Sports on Tuesday, indicating Sidhu’s participation as a commentator for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, commencing on March 22. The official handle of the channel expressed excitement, dubbing Sidhu as the “Sardar of commentary box.”
This decision comes amidst Sidhu’s earlier declaration of abstaining from contesting in the impending Lok Sabha elections, despite the Congress party’s delay in announcing candidates for 13 seats in Punjab. The elections are scheduled for June 1 in the state.
