The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed the Bombay High Court’s decision in the 2006 Mumbai serial train blast case. The High Court had acquitted all 12 accused on July 21. The Maharashtra government filed a petition in the Supreme Court on July 23 against this decision. On this, the Supreme Court said in its order, the stay on the order of the Bombay High Court will not have any effect on the release of the accused from jail.
