MTech student from Karnal stabbed to death in Australia

A 22-year-old MTech student, Navjeet Sandhu, was allegedly stabbed to death in Australia during a fight between some Indian students, the victim’s uncle said on Monday.
He said that one more student was injured in the incident, which took place on Saturday around 9 pm local time in Melbourne.
The uncle of the victim said on Monday that the 22-year-old MTech student was allegedly fatally stabbed in Australia during a brawl involving some Indian students.
He said that the incident, which happened on Saturday night at approximately nine o’clock local time in Melbourne, also injured one more student.
Navjeet Sandhu was fatally attacked with a knife by another student, according to Yashvir, the victim’s uncle, when he attempted to mediate a fight between a few Indian students regarding a rent dispute.
Since he had a car, Navjeet’s friend, another Indian student, had asked him to go with him to his house so he could pick up his belongings. Navjeet heard some shouts and saw there was a fight while his friend went inside. Yashvir, who will leave the Army in July, stated that Navjeet was fatally stabbed in the chest with a knife when he attempted to step in and ask them not to fight.
He said that the supposed accused is a native of Karnal, just like Navjeet.
According to Yashvir, the family was informed about the incident early on Sunday morning.
The family, according to Yashvir, is shocked. He said, “Navjeet was a bright student and was going to take a vacation with his family in July.”
Yashvir claims that Navjeet’s father, a farmer, sold 1.5 acres of their land to pay for his education when he immigrated to Australia 1.5 years ago on a study visa. He urged the Indian government to assist them in bringing the body as soon as possible.
