More Than 56% Voter Turnout Till 5 PM In Phase 5

According to the Election Commission’s Voter Turnout App, phase 5 saw a 56.68% voter turnout until 5 p.m.

West Bengal had the highest polling percentage (73%) and Maharashtra had the lowest (48.66%). There are 49 Lok Sabha seats up for election in six states and two Union Territories, including Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir.

As of this afternoon, the Election Commission in West Bengal had received approximately 1036 complaints from different political parties concerning EVM malfunctions, agents being prevented from entering polling places, and voters being intimidated or prevented from casting their ballots in various constituencies.

Meanwhile, voters will cast ballots for the second round of concurrent state assembly elections today in addition to the five Lok Sabha seats in Odisha.
