Railways says that more than 12 thousand special trains will be run across the country on the occasion of Deepawali (20 October) and Chhath Puja (26 October). When the booking for 20 October (Deepawali) opened on 21 August, almost all the trains going to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar were full in just three days.
