Model and reality TV personality Poonam Pandey passed away from cervical cancer, according to her manager today. The lack of information and a family statement caused shock and furious speculation.
The 32-year-old “bravely fought the disease” and passed away this morning, according to a statement from her team. She was most recently seen on the reality show Lock Upp.
“Poonam Pandey, the beloved actress and social media personality, has tragically passed away this morning due to Cervical Cancer, leaving the entertainment industry in shock and mourning,” Nikita Sharma, her manager, stated.
Her media manager Parul Chawla, who was cited by reports as having confirmed her death, later asserted that Poonam Pandey’s sister had called “regarding her sudden demise” and that she was waiting for details.

Pandey came to limelight when she announced on 14 March 2011 that she would strip if India won the cricket World Cup.
