    Meerut: Gangster Will Have to Give A Miss To Own Wedding Reception

    A gangster in Uttar Pradesh tied the knot but was barred from attending his own wedding reception due to restrictions imposed by district authorities. A notorious gangster recently externed from Meerut, tied the knot in Sikandrabad, a neighbouring town in Bulandshahr.

    Salman who got married on Friday will have to miss his own wedding reception, slated for November 26 in Meerut. This is happening due to the district ban imposed just a day before the wedding.

    Externment is the prohibition of a jailed person from being present in any specified area or locality for a specified period.

    The groom, who is on the police’s radar due to his criminal background, had sought permission to travel to the neighboring district for his wedding festivities. However, authorities denied his request, citing security concerns and the possibility of law and order disturbances. As a result, while the marriage reception will take place without Salman.

    Local officials clarified that the restrictions were part of strict measures to monitor individuals with criminal records.

    Salman is a resident of Ismail Nagar and had previously been booked by the police. On Thursday, the administration banned him from entering Meerut for six months.
