During a Ramlila performance, a man dressed as Hanuman passed away from a heart attack at in Bhiwani, Haryana. The Ramlila was held at the grand opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The victim Harish Mehta is seen dancing at a local event while dressed as Lord Hanuman in a video of the shocking incident. He was meant to touch Lord Ram’s feet to conclude the act. Harish Mehta collapsed to the ground during the performance due to a heart attack. Some mistook it for a scene from the play and refrained from helping him. People realized it was an emergency only after he remained motionless and unresponsive for more than sixty seconds. He was taken to a hospital but was declared dead by doctors.
Harish Mehta had retired as a junior engineer in the electricity department. He was also an artist and had been performing as Lord Hanuman for the last 25 years.
