LPG Crisis Relief: Two Indian tankers ‘Shivalik’ and ‘Nanda Devi’ safely cross Strait of Hormuz with 92,700 tons of gas

NEW DELHI/GUJARAT: In a major boost to India’s energy security, two LPG tankers, ‘Shivalik’ and ‘Nanda Devi’, successfully crossed the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Carrying 92,700 metric tons of LPG, the vessels are expected to dock at Gujarat’s Mundra and Kandla ports by March 16-17. Shipping Ministry official Rajesh Kumar Sinha confirmed the transit, which is expected to significantly ease the ongoing cooking gas shortage across the country.
