Kylian Mbappe Plans To Leave PSG, May Join Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe, the captain of France, has informed officials at Paris Saint-Germain that he plans to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season. The 25-year-old, who moved to Paris from Monaco in 2017, had his contract extended in 2022 until 2024, but he chose not to use a clause that would have allowed him to stay at PSG for an additional year last summer.

Mbappe has been heavily tipped to join Real Madrid, and a source close to the situation claims that he has already started talks with the massive Spanish team.
Although Mbappe will be leaving PSG on a free transfer, the club will be somewhat cushioned by an agreement they came to last summer in which the player will forgo bonuses totaling between 60 and 70 million euros ($65.6 million and $76.6 million).

Mbappe, the team’s all-time top scorer with 274 goals, is expected to sign a contract to join Real Madrid, the team he has dreamed of since he was a young boy, after spending seven seasons at PSG.

A year after Neymar and Lionel Messi left PSG, the departure of their main player heralds the start of a new period of uncertainty for PSG.
