Khalistani Terrorist Pannun Threatens Punjab CM Mann and DGP, Warns of Republic Day Attack

Pannun Threatens CM Mann

Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) leader and alleged Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has reportedly issued death threats against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav. Pannun’s threats, urging gangsters to unite for an attack on Republic Day, are believed to be linked to the Punjab Police’s recent crackdown on organized crime, adopting a zero-tolerance policy against gangsters.

This development comes just a week after Pannun targeted the Indian government during the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple, scheduled for January 22. Pannun not only opposed the ceremony but also called on the Muslim community to resist, claiming that the temple was constructed on the site of the Babri Masjid. Additionally, intelligence sources revealed that Pannun labeled Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “global enemy of Muslims” and accused him of overseeing the construction of the temple on the alleged graves of thousands of Muslims, whom he claims were forcibly converted.

Sources within Indian intelligence circles suggest that Pannun’s recent aggressive stance is an attempt to regain momentum after his efforts to initiate a referendum for a separate Khalistan met with failure. Described as being in “panic mode,” Pannun has resorted to issuing threats and making provocative calls.

Earlier this year, on January 1, Pannun had called for India’s “economic destruction” by targeting the Bombay Stock Exchange starting March 12, 2024 – the 31st anniversary of the Mumbai serial blasts. He advocated for dumping Indian stocks and purchasing American stocks, identifying specific targets such as banks and corporates trading internationally.

This is not the first time Pannun has made threats against Indian authorities. On December 30, he instigated Muslims to obstruct Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow in Ayodhya, offering a reward of $100,000 for the disruption.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, declared a ‘terrorist’ by India, remains a significant concern for national security. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety of public figures and the general populace. The Punjab Police, in particular, is on high alert as the Republic Day approaches, with heightened security measures in place.
