Kareena Kapoor Gets Court Notice For Using ‘Bible’ In Pregnancy Book Title

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan received a notice from the Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding a petition against her new pregnancy memoir, “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible.” The notice was sent out in response to a protest against the book’s title using the word “bible” that was brought before the court.
The notice was sent in response to advocate Christopher Anthony’s request to file a complaint against Ms. Khan and the book’s sellers before a single-judge bench of Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia. The actor has been asked to respond by the court as to why the word “bible” was used in the title.

Notices have also been issued to the sellers of the books after Mr Anthony demanded a ban on the book’s sale in his petition.

In his petition, Mr. Anthony, a social worker from Jabalpur, claims that the book’s title’s usage of the word “bible” offends the Christian community. “Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world and it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible,” he stated. The actor allegedly used the term to get “cheap publicity” for her book, according to Mr Anthony.

The 43-year-old actor’s pregnancy journey is chronicled in the book, which was released in 2021 and offers advice for expectant mothers.

After contacting the police in an attempt to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the actress, the petitioner moved to a lower court to file a complaint against her.

The court denied his request because he was unable to provide evidence of how the title’s use of the word “bible” was offensive. After that, he moved to the Additional Sessions Court, where his petition was denied.
