In a startling incident at Chandigarh Airport on Thursday afternoon, actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut was reportedly slapped by a CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) woman constable while she was en route to New Delhi. The constable, identified as Kulwinder Kaur, has been suspended following the incident, and an FIR is being registered against her based on a written complaint by CISF officials. Additionally, the CISF has filed a complaint with the local police.

Kangana, who recently won the Lok Sabha elections from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency, took to Instagram to express her outrage over the incident and criticized the film industry for allegedly celebrating the attack and not supporting her. In her Instagram Stories, she wrote, “All eyes on Rafah Gang this can happen to you or your children as well. When you celebrate a terror attack on someone be ready for the day it comes back to you as well.”

In a now-deleted post, she added, “Dear film industry you all are either celebrating or are totally mum on the airport attack on me remember if tomorrow if you walking disarmingly on some street of your country or anywhere else in the world and some Israeli / Palestinian hits you or your children just because you tried to bring eyes to Rafah or stood up for Israeli hostage… then you will see I will be fighting for your rights of free speech, if someday you wonder why I am where I am remember you are not me…”

This incident has gained significant attention, particularly as it follows Bollywood celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, and others, expressing solidarity with Palestinians by sharing the phrase “All Eyes On Rafah” on social media. The phrase went viral after Israeli air strikes in Rafah killed 40 Palestinians and injured dozens.

Sources revealed that the altercation occurred while Kangana was proceeding to the boarding gate after a security check. Although the motive behind the assault remains unclear, there is speculation that it may be related to Kangana’s previous remarks on the farmers’ protest in India. Kulwinder Kaur allegedly cited disparaging comments made by Kangana about Punjab women during the agitation against the three farm laws.

The CISF has yet to issue a formal statement on the incident. However, an inquiry committee consisting of senior officers has been established to investigate the matter.
