Kamla Harris Leads Donald Trump In Many Key States: Polls

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is leading her Republican rival, Donald Trump, in several key battleground states, including Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, according to recent polls.

In Michigan, a poll from UMass Lowell’s Center for Public Opinion and YouGov shows Harris with a slight edge, capturing 48% of the vote compared to Trump’s 43%. Political science assistant professor Rodrigo Castro Cornejo noted that this margin is promising for Harris in such a pivotal state. He added that Trump faces challenges due to his negative favorability ratings in Michigan, which he must address to remain competitive.

In Pennsylvania, Harris holds a narrow lead over Trump, garnering 48% to Trump’s 46%. Cornejo highlighted that the race in Pennsylvania remains very close, making the coming weeks crucial for both campaigns. He emphasized the importance of get-out-the-vote strategies as there are few undecided voters left.

A separate Fox News poll indicates that Harris leads Trump in Georgia, where she has 51% of the votes compared to Trump’s 48%. However, in Arizona, the situation is reversed, with Trump leading Harris 51% to 48%.

Nationally, according to Real Clear Politics, Trump trails Harris by two percentage points overall, while in battleground states, the race is statistically tied, with Harris leading by just 0.3 percentage points.
