JD(U) Wants Railways, TDP Targeting Other Important Ministries In Cabinet

Three-term member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and representative of the Srikakulam Lok Sabha seat Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu is expected to be appointed to caretaker Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Union Cabinet, according to reports.

According to the report, the TDP is expected to win two minister of state (MoS) posts in Modi’s government in addition to one government minister role.

What is note worthy is the fact that the party had sought four berthsтАУ two Cabinet minister posts and two MoS posts.

Also, there seems to be a possibility of the party being offered the post of the deputy speaker, a party leader has confirmed.

Meanwhile,┬аother reports, stated that the JDU and TDP are primarily looking to secure funds for their respective states Bihar and Andhra. Their are prioritising financial packages rather than ministerial berths.

The JDU, led by Nitish Kumar, is allegedly considering major ministries including rural development, agriculture, and railroads. Remarkably, RCP Singh of the JDU was Minister of Steel and Nitish Kumar had previously been Minister of Union Railways.

Moreover, it is being believed that Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy of Nellore and Pemmasani Chandrasekhar of Guntur are two more TDP leaders who could join the cabinet.
