J-K LG Manoj Sinha Flags Off First Batch Of Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims

On Friday morning, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, flagged off the first batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from the base camp in Jammu. Prior to the flag-off, LG Manoj Sinha offered prayers at the temple.

Addressing the media after the flag-off, LG Manoj Sinha said, “The first batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims has departed from Jammu. In the last 3-4 years, significant arrangements have been made for the yatra, and this time, the J&K administration has ensured all necessary preparations and heightened security.”

Thousands of pilgrims have gathered in Jammu ahead of the Amarnath Yatra. The first batch will travel under high security in a convoy to the Pahalgam and Baltal base camps, where they will commence their pilgrimage.

Visuals show pilgrims chanting “Bham Bham Bholey” and dancing with excitement as they prepare to embark on the yatra.

BJP leader Devender Singh Rana expressed his hopes for a successful yatra, stating, “We hope that with the grace of Bhole Shankar, this yearтАЩs yatra will bring happiness and a good experience for everyone, as it does every year. Pilgrims will receive the love, affection, and care of Jammu and Kashmir residents, and the blessings of Lord Shiva. This year, like every year, all arrangements have been made.”

To enhance security and manage traffic issues, CCTV cameras have been installed on National Highways. Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, said, “To further strengthen security, CCTV cameras have been installed on the National Highway with around 10 monitoring points from Udhampur to Banihal. This will allow us to address any traffic-related issues immediately. Our goal is to ensure Amarnath Yatra pilgrims have all the necessary facilities, including food, water, and electricity.
