The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season will begin on March 22 at Chepauk with the defending champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Two double headers will come after the CSK vs. RCB match. In the second game on March 24, Hardik Pandya, who has rejoined the Mumbai Indians, will captain the five-time champions against his old team, the Gujarat Titans. Hardik was traded during the off-season from GT to MI for a whopping Rs 15 crore, with Shubman Gill taking over as the captain of GT. 

However, because of the Lok Sabha Elections, the BCCI has only made available the schedule for the first 21 matches. The schedule only for the first 17 days of the tournament have been announced. Following the Election Commission’s announcement of the election date, the remaining schedule will be made public.
