Indian Railways has revised its refund policy, ending the four-hour cancellation window for confirmed tickets. Passengers must now cancel at least eight hours before departure to receive a refund. Additionally, the new rules allow changing boarding stations up to thirty minutes before the scheduled departure. These measures, effective from April 2026, aim to prevent ticket hoarding and benefit genuine travelers.
