AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal issued a challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, demanding that he provide free electricity in all NDA-ruled states before the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Kejriwal pledged to campaign for the BJP if Modi meets this demand.
Speaking at a public event called ‘Janta Ki Adalat,’ Kejriwal criticized the BJP’s “double engine” governments, claiming they have failed in various states and predicting their downfall in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. He referred to the “double engine” model as “double loot and double corruption.”
Kejriwal stated, “I challenge PM Modi to ensure free electricity in all 22 BJP-ruled states before the Delhi Assembly elections in February. If he does, I will support the BJP in their campaign.”
He also alleged that the BJP is anti-poor, pointing to the removal of bus marshals and data entry operators, as well as the suspension of home guards’ salaries in Delhi. Furthermore, he claimed that democracy is absent in Delhi, as the city is governed under the Lieutenant Governor’s authority.
