    Himachal goes with BJP in LS, with Cong in Assembly bypolls

    Kangana Ranaut, the BJP’s candidate, won the Mandi parliamentary seat with a margin of 74,755 votes, while Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister, won the Hamirpur seat for a fifth time in a row, defeating Satpal Raizada, the Congress candidate, with a margin of 1,82,357 votes.

    Based on trends, the BJP is leading the Congress in the two remaining Lok Sabha seats, Kangra and Shimla.

    In Gagret, Rakesh Kalia defeted BJP’s Chaitanya Sharma.

    In Barsar, BJP’s Inder Dutt Lakhanpal defeted Subhash Chand of the Congress.
