The central government introduced the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill 2025 in the Lok Sabha today i.e. on 20 August 2025. This bill is to regulate online gaming and completely ban real-money games. It was approved by the cabinet yesterday. That is, fantasy sports like Dream-11, rummy, poker etc. can all be banned. Promoting these games will also be illegal.
