Police on Monday arrested the fourth accused in the gang rape case of a medical student in Durgapur, West Bengal. The Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate stated that three accused have already been arrested and all have been remanded in police custody for 10 days. Meanwhile, the victim’s father dismissed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statement on Sunday as false.
