Former CEO of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi, has issued a heartfelt plea to Indian students in the United States, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing safety and security in light of recent unfortunate incidents involving members of the Indian community. The Consulate General of India in New York shared a 10-minute video message from Nooyi, where she offered a series of advice aimed at ensuring the well-being of Indian students studying abroad.

In the wake of troubling incidents such as the disappearance of Mohammad Abdul Arfath and the tragic deaths of Sameer Kamath, Akul Dhawan, and Vivek Saini, Nooyi underscored the necessity for vigilance and caution. She urged students to remain within the bounds of the law, avoid venturing into unsafe areas alone, and refrain from engaging in drugs or excessive drinking, warning that such behaviors could lead to dire consequences.

Nooyi stressed the significance of making informed choices when selecting universities and courses, acknowledging the cultural adjustment that many students face upon arriving in the US. She urged students to be cautious in forming friendships, developing new habits, and coping with cultural differences, emphasizing the need to resist the temptation to experiment with dangerous substances.
