Former Kerala CM and most senior Communist Party leader VS Achuthanandan passed away on Monday. He was 101 years old and was bed-ridden for the last several years. Achuthanandan was the Chief Minister of Kerala from 2006 to 2011 and a prominent leader of the CPM for decades. He was also the longest-serving Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Assembly.
