Flash floods in the Guadalupe River following heavy rains in the US state of Texas on Friday killed 51 people. About 15 inches (38 cm) of rain fell near San Antonio, Texas, officials said. In just 45 minutes, the river rose 26 feet (8 metres), sweeping away homes and vehicles.
