‘Even a Non-Muslim in India Would…’: Zakir Naik Criticizes Pakistan’s National Airline Over Extra Baggage Fees | WATCH

Controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik expressed outrage during his ongoing visit to Pakistan after Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) declined to waive extra baggage fees despite his status as a state guest. PIA had reportedly offered Naik a 50% discount on the excess luggage, which the preacher refused, insisting on a complete waiver.

In a viral video, Naik criticized the airline, comparing his treatment in Pakistan unfavorably to what he claims he would have received in India. “Even a non-Muslim in India would let me in with excess baggage for free,” Naik remarked. “I spoke to the CEO of PIA, and he offered a 50% discount. I said, if you want to give, give a 100 percent discount, otherwise forget about it,” he added, voicing his disappointment at being charged despite his status.

Naik, who began his nearly month-long visit to Pakistan last week, is known for making provocative statements. In one instance during his visit, Naik scolded a Pashtun girl who questioned him about pedophilia during a sermon. Rather than addressing the issue, Naik demanded the girl apologize to God before he would respond. In another speech, he controversially claimed that Pakistanis had a better chance of going to “Jannat” (paradise) than those living in the United States, sparking backlash within Pakistan. Critics online called him a “fraudster” and a “disgrace” for his outlandish comments.

Naik’s presence in Pakistan has also drawn international condemnation, particularly from India. Indian government officials have expressed frustration at Pakistan’s warm reception of Naik, who is a fugitive in India facing charges of inciting extremism and money laundering. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal called Pakistan’s treatment of Naik “disappointing but not surprising.”

Sources suggest that Naik’s visit to Pakistan is part of a broader agenda to insult Indian religious figures and provoke tensions. Indian officials are reportedly planning to raise the issue on international platforms, accusing Pakistan of deliberately hosting Naik to insult India.

Despite the backlash, Naik’s visit continues to draw attention on social media, where his comments and behavior have fueled ongoing debates. His trip to Pakistan, which was meant to bolster his reputation among Islamic followers, has instead led to renewed criticism and controversy.
