Elon Musk has once again expressed his readiness to face fellow tech billionaire Mark Zuckerberg in a physical fight, saying he is prepared to do so “anytime” and “under any rules.” Musk made this declaration in response to a question from a Fox reporter during his visit to the US Capitol on Wednesday for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress.
The renewed interest in a potential showdown comes months after initial speculation about a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) match between the two tech moguls. The idea first gained traction last year when Musk and Zuckerberg exchanged playful jabs on social media. Although public interest waned in the fall, Musk reignited the conversation with his latest statement.
In a video shared on X, Musk emphatically stated, “I’ll fight Zuckerberg any place, any time, any rules.” This is not the first time Musk has expressed his willingness to engage in a physical confrontation with Zuckerberg. During an October 2023 appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast, he jokingly issued a challenge, saying, “I challenge him to a duel under any circumstances. I’m willing to fight him in a house, on a mouse, with a louse.”
The feud between the two tech giants began in June 2023 when Musk suggested he was “up for a cage match” with Zuckerberg ahead of the launch of Threads, a new social media platform. Zuckerberg quickly responded with an Instagram post, asking Musk to “send the location.”
While Musk has publicly accepted the challenge, Zuckerberg has been actively training in mixed martial arts with UFC champions. Despite Musk’s size advantage, experts note that skill can be more important than size in combat sports, raising questions about how the fight would play out.
