Airlines and airport authorities are urging travelers to plan ahead and take necessary precautions to mitigate any inconveniences caused by the anticipated bad weather.

Indian airlines such as IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Vistara have issued advisories for flights to and from Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi in light of the forecasted adverse weather conditions. IndiGo took to their social media platform, X, informing passengers about the impact on flight operations and advising them to monitor their flight status closely before heading to the airport.

Vistara, in a similar vein, advised customers to anticipate traffic congestion en route to Dubai Airport and suggested allowing extra time for their journey. SpiceJet echoed the sentiment, urging passengers to stay updated on their flight status due to potential disruptions caused by thunderstorms and rain.

Passengers departing from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) have been advised to check their flight status regularly, arrive early for security checks, and plan their route using traffic apps. Additionally, travelers are encouraged to utilize the Dubai Metro as an alternative mode of transportation, with extended service hours until 5 a.m. on Friday to accommodate the anticipated increase in demand.

Emirates, DubaiтАЩs flagship airline, has joined the chorus of warnings, cautioning travelers to factor in possible delays stemming from thunderstorms expected on Thursday. Flydubai has recommended that passengers leave for the airport ahead of schedule and update their contact details to receive timely flight updates.

The National Center for Meteorology has predicted rain showers and thunderstorms until early Friday, with the possibility of hail in coastal and western areas. Authorities have assured the public that measures are in place to minimize disruptions following severe rainfall experienced in April.
