The Ministry of Road Transport (MoRTH) on Friday termed the news of discontinuing FASTag from May 1, 2025 as a rumour. The ministry said that these reports are rumours and FASTag will remain the official method of toll collection in the country for now. Earlier, there was talk of discontinuing FASTag from May 1 and implementing the satellite toll system.
