Delhi Police ACP’s Son Taken To A Wedding, Then Killed Over A Loan

The 24-year-old son of Assistant Commissioner Yashpal Singh of the Delhi Police, Lakshya Chauhan, traveled to Haryana for a wedding along with two other persons. He was killed by the end of the celebration, and his body was found in a canal.

A simmering financial dispute allegedly led to Lakshay Chauhan, a lawyer at Tis Hazari court, being pushed into a canal in Haryana by two of his friends, Vikas Bhardwaj and his accomplice Abhishek.

On Monday, the tragedy started when Lakshay left to attend a wedding in Sonepat with Vikas and Abhishek. The following day, when he did not come home, ACP Yashpal Singh reported him missing, which set off a search and rescue operation.

The investigation revealed that the accused duo had plotted to kill Lakshay because of a growing financial disagreement between him and Bhardwaj. According to Bhardwaj, there was tension between them because Lakshay had taken a loan from them and had repeatedly refused to repay it.

After being held for a week, Abhishek revealed that Vikas had asked him to attend a marriage ceremony and complained about Lakshay. On the way back, the two came up with a plan to get rid of him.

The three of them left the wedding after midnight and went to answer nature’s call near the Munak Canal. Bhardwaj and Abhishek allegedly took advantage of the situation, pushing Chauhan into the canal before driving away in his car.

When they reached Delhi again, Vikas left Abhishek behind in Narela and vanished. After Abhishek was eventually caught, a police report was filed based on his statement. The police are searching for Vikas Bhardwaj.
