In a disturbing incident during Diwali festivities, a North Delhi man sustained serious injuries after reportedly being attacked by his wife amid a domestic dispute. The altercation took place on the night of October 31 in Shakti Nagar, where the couple, both on their third marriages, had recently moved after relocating from Bihar.

According to police, the incident began when the victim, an employee at a local guest house, returned home intoxicated. A heated argument soon broke out, leading his wife to temporarily leave the residence. Upon her return, she allegedly used a sharp object to inflict serious injuries on her husband’s private area.

Emergency responders were promptly contacted, and the injured man was initially taken to Bada Hindu Rao Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Safdarjung Hospital for advanced treatment. Medical officials have since confirmed that while the injuries are grave, they are not life-threatening.

Authorities recorded the victim’s statement and plan to conduct further questioning once his condition stabilizes. Meanwhile, his wife is currently at large, and police have launched a search to locate her.
