Renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder of the Coimbatore-based Isha Foundation, is on the path to recovery after undergoing emergency brain surgery at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi. The surgery, conducted to address life-threatening bleeding in his skull, took place on March 17.
Providing a reassuring update on Sadhguru’s condition, his daughter, Radhe Jaggi, took to Instagram to inform followers that her father is doing well and recovering swiftly. She expressed gratitude for the concern shown by well-wishers.
According to a statement issued by the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Sadhguru responded positively post-surgery and has been successfully weaned off the ventilator. His vital signs are showing improvement, indicating a steady recovery.
In a lighter vein, Sadhguru himself shared a video from his hospital bed, humorously remarking about the surgical procedure. He expressed gratitude for the medical team’s efforts, highlighting the empty nature of the area where surgery was performed.
Dr. Vinit Suri, senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospital, shed light on Sadhguru’s condition, revealing that the spiritual leader had been enduring severe headaches for four weeks prior to the surgery. Despite the discomfort, Sadhguru persisted with his daily routines and social engagements, even conducting a significant function on March 8.
Dr. Suri emphasized Sadhguru’s resilience in managing the pain until it reached a critical point on March 15, prompting a consultation and subsequent MRI scan. The scan revealed significant bleeding in the skull, leading to the urgent need for surgery.
