Cyclone Montha made landfall in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, and then reached Gopalpur Beach in Ganjam, Odisha, on Wednesday morning. High waves are surging in the Ganjam waters, and winds have reached 80-100 kmph. According to the IMD, the storm’s impact will persist for the next six hours, even after landfall.
