Cyclone Montha, which formed over the Bay of Bengal, intensified into a storm on Tuesday morning. It is expected to make landfall near Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh around 5:30 a.m. Waves up to 5 meters (16 feet) high are expected. Its impact is being felt in districts of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bengal, and Odisha.
