Centre Targeting Me as If I Am “The Biggest Terrorist”: Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has accused the BJP-led Centre of employing all central agencies against him, likening the situation to being treated as “the biggest terrorist.” Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of a school building in Dwarka, Kejriwal expressed frustration at the Centre’s interference in Delhi’s governance.

“The Centre tries to stop everything in Delhi,” Kejriwal asserted, citing the thwarted doorstep delivery of ration initiative. Despite this obstruction, he announced plans to launch a similar scheme in Punjab, where the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) recently formed the government.

Kejriwal further claimed that various central agencies have targeted him with notices, including the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Delhi Police, characterizing the onslaught as unjust and excessive.

“You must be reading in the newspapers that Kejriwal has received an ED notice, a CBI notice, a Delhi Police notice. They have unleashed all the agencies against me as if I am the biggest terrorist,” Kejriwal stated.

Pushing back against allegations of corruption, Kejriwal highlighted his administration’s initiatives such as providing free electricity and healthcare in Delhi’s government-run hospitals. He questioned the ethics behind branding him as corrupt when his policies prioritize public welfare, including free education for children.

“They say I am a thief. You tell me, is someone who provides free education to children a thief or someone who shuts down government schools?” Kejriwal challenged.
