The Indian pacer’s year started on a high note with a scintillating display against England, but it was in the T20 World Cup where he truly announced himself as a match-winner. He finished the tournament with a remarkable 15 wickets at an average of just 8.26, guiding India to a resounding victory in the final against South Africa. His efforts throughout the tournament earned him the Player of the Tournament accolade, a fitting recognition for his exceptional impact.
However, it was Bumrah’s performances in Test cricket that really set him apart. He picked up 71 wickets in just 13 matches, the most by any bowler in 2024, showcasing not only his skills but also his resilience and consistency across formats.
