Pop icon Britney Spears has rebutted recent claims of a physical altercation with her on-and-off boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz, at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Reports surfaced of an alleged fight that led to paramedics being called to the scene.
Numerous international media outlets circulated photos of Britney, 42, being escorted out of the hotel, appearing distressed and topless while clutching a pillow to her chest amidst her security. Some reports even suggested a mental breakdown following the altercation.
However, Britney took to her official Instagram account to refute the allegations, dismissing them as “fake news.” In her post, she expressed a desire for respect during this time, emphasizing her ongoing journey towards strength. She also joked about her need to learn how to lie and shared mundane details about needing a new toothbrush and an espresso.
Clarifying the situation, Britney mentioned twisting her ankle and accused paramedics of arriving “illegally.” She announced her decision to move to Boston, citing feeling harassed.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported witnesses describing Britney as “out of control” in the hotel hallway, prompting concerns about a potential mental breakdown and necessitating the intervention of paramedics. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed receiving a 911 call regarding an injured adult female and dispatched an ambulance to the location.
Despite the turmoil, Britney has since left the hotel with her security and is reported to be safe at home.
