Colombo: On the fifth day of the intensifying conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran, an American submarine has torpedoed and sunk the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena off the coast of Sri Lanka. The warship was reportedly returning to Iran after participating in a naval event in India. According to the Sri Lankan government, 80 sailors were killed in the strike, while 32 others were rescued by local naval forces. This marks the first US strike on Iranian forces outside the Middle East during the current war.
