Rail travel has become expensive from today. The fares of non-AC mail/express trains have been increased by 1 paisa per kilometer and the fares of AC class have been increased by 2 paisa per kilometer. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing expenses and maintenance costs faced by the railways.
