NEW DELHI: Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge launched a sharp attack in the Rajya Sabha today, accusing the government of stifling democracy. He questioned how the House could function when the Lok Sabha LoP was barred from speaking on national interests. Following his remarks on the “gagging” of the Opposition and the Naravane memoir row, Congress and other INDIA bloc members staged a walkout.
