A 24-year-old Bengaluru resident has accused a Swiggy delivery agent of sexual harassment after the rider allegedly asked if he could “suck his c***” during a delivery. The incident occurred when the victim was at a friend’s flat to send keys to his flatmate. According to his account, the delivery person arrived, waited for about 10 seconds while requesting an OTP, and then, after another brief pause, made the offensive remark.

Shocked by the encounter, the man immediately reclaimed his package and later recounted the episode on Reddit, emphasizing that such comments are outright harassment and should never be taken as a compliment. His friends, concerned for his safety, had advised him to refuse the delivery, warning that the agent “doesn’t seem safe.”

The customer also expressed disappointment in Swiggy’s initial response, noting that the first representative mentioned the agent was affiliated with Rapido—an association due to the partnership between the two companies for Swiggy Genie services. Following the incident, Swiggy arranged for another rider to complete the delivery, apologized for the inconvenience, and scheduled a new pickup for the package.

In response to the complaint, Swiggy’s customer support assured that strict action would be taken against the agent for his indecent behavior. An update from the man confirmed that the delivery agent has been blacklisted from both Swiggy and Rapido, and the call operator who initially handled his complaint is now undergoing re-training to better manage such issues.
