The Maharashtra Police arrested adult film star Riya Barde, also known by her aliases Arohi Barde and Banna Sheikh, for allegedly residing in India using forged documents. The arrest took place in Ulhasnagar, where she was found staying illegally.

Riya Barde, a Bangladeshi national, is facing charges under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Sections 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), 479 (using forged documents as genuine), 34 (acts done by several persons with common intent), and 14A of the Foreigners Act.

The investigation into Barde’s illegal stay was initiated following a complaint by one of her acquaintances, Prashant Mishra. Upon receiving the complaint, the police launched an inquiry, which revealed that Barde and her family were using falsified documents to establish their Indian nationality.

According to police sources, Barde’s mother, Anjali Barde alias Ruby Sheikh, originally hails from Bangladesh and had married Arvind Barde, a resident of Amravati, Maharashtra. After their marriage, Barde’s mother reportedly used forged documents to claim Indian citizenship. Other family members identified in the case include Riya’s father, Arvind Barde, her brother, Ravindra alias Riyaz Sheikh, and her sister, Ritu alias Moni Sheikh.

It is reported that Riya Barde’s parents are currently in Qatar, and authorities are also pursuing them in connection with the case. The police are conducting further investigations to trace the whereabouts of her family members.

This is not the first time Riya Barde has faced legal trouble. She was previously arrested in connection with a prostitution case.
