Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia has recently deleted her Instagram account following a wave of online trolling regarding her alleged cosmetic surgeries. The actress, known for her roles in popular films such as Wanted and Dor, has become a subject of intense scrutiny after a recent photo she posted went viral, leading fans to claim she looked “unrecognisable.”
In her latest Instagram post, Ayesha Takia was seen wearing a blue and golden saree, complemented by pink-toned makeup. Her hair was styled in loose waves with bangs that framed her face, a look that sparked discussions among her followers. Some fans expressed their shock at her altered appearance, with one user commenting, “No way this is Ayesha Takia.” Another wrote, “Is this a real photo? How on earth?”
Despite the widespread speculation, Ayesha has not publicly acknowledged any recent cosmetic procedures. Her Instagram account, which now displays the message, “Sorry, this page isn’t available,” suggests that she has chosen to step away from social media amidst the backlash.
Earlier this year, the actress faced criticism for her changed appearance when she was spotted in public. In response to the negative comments, Ayesha shared a cryptic note on social media stating, “You can’t control how people perceive your energy. Anything you do or say gets filtered through the lens of whatever they are going through at the moment, which is totally not about you.” She also shared a selfie with the caption, “Love and peace,” seemingly addressing the controversy in a subtle manner.
Ayesha Takia, who rose to fame with her debut in Taarzan: The Wonder Car, has been praised throughout her career for her beauty and acting skills. However, she gradually stepped back from the limelight after marrying entrepreneur Farhan Azmi in 2009. The couple, who were rumored to have been dating since 2005, welcomed their son, Mikail, in 2013.
Although Ayesha has been away from the film industry for several years, her presence on social media kept her connected with fans who fondly remember her performances in films like Dil Maange More, Socha Na Tha, Shaadi No. 1, and Pathshaala. Her last film appearance was in the 2011 romantic drama Mod, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
