Amit Shah Slams Congress, Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Dragging Politics to New Depths Amid ‘Fake Video’ Controversy

In a fiery rebuke against the Congress party, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has condemned the dissemination of a fake video purportedly portraying his stance on reservation policies. Speaking at an event in Guwahati, Shah lambasted the opposition for resorting to misinformation tactics and underscored the importance of electoral discourse based on truth and integrity.

The controversy erupted when a doctored video began circulating on social media, falsely suggesting that Shah advocated for the abolition of reservations in India. Delhi Police’s Special Cell swiftly took action against those responsible for spreading the fabricated content, highlighting the serious implications of such deceptive practices in the public sphere.

Addressing the issue head-on, Shah reaffirmed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) unequivocal support for reservation for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs). He categorically stated the party’s opposition to religion-based quotas while emphasizing its commitment to upholding the rights of marginalized communities.

Shah’s condemnation of the fake video was accompanied by strong words against those seeking to disrupt the democratic process through deceitful means. “Politics has stooped to a new low under Rahul Gandhi,” Shah asserted, pointing fingers at the Congress leadership for amplifying the misinformation campaign.

The Home Minister’s sentiments were echoed by Union minister Kiren Rijiju, who denounced the misleading tactics as a disservice to democracy. “Misleading the public is not just irresponsible; it has the potential to incite violence and undermine the foundations of our democracy,” Rijiju remarked.

Furthermore, BJP’s IT cell head, Amit Malviya, underscored the gravity of the situation, stressing that the dissemination of fake news poses a threat to social harmony. Malviya reiterated the party’s commitment to combating misinformation and ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process.
