The US government has issued an official notification imposing 25% additional tariff on imports from India. This tariff imposed as a penalty will come into effect from 9:31 am on August 27 as per Indian time. A 25% tariff was imposed on India from August 7. This means that the total tariff on Indian goods will now be up to 50%.
