Acclaimed Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna, known for his stellar performances in films such as Race, Hulchul, Ittefaq, and Drishyam 2, has once again reaffirmed his stance on remaining unmarried. In a candid throwback interview with Hindustan Times, the actor expressed that he does not see himself tying the knot or adopting children, emphasizing his preference for maintaining full control over his life.

When asked whether marriage was ever a possibility for him, Akshaye stated, “I don’t see myself (getting married). I’m not marriage material, as they say. I’m not cut out for that kind of life. It’s a commitment, but a drastic lifestyle change. Marriage changes everything. I want full control over my life. When you share your life with somebody else, you can’t have full control. You have to give a lot of control away.”

Further elaborating on why he also rules out the idea of having children, the actor explained, “I’m not cut out for that life; for sharing my life. Whether it’s getting married or having kids. That too drastically changes your life. Everything important to you becomes less important because the child gains utmost importance. That kind of changes life… and those kinds of alterations that you have to make in your life are not the things I want to do.”

The actor, who has always maintained a private personal life, continues to focus solely on his craft. Currently, he is gearing up for the release of Chhaava, where he portrays the powerful role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Director Laxman Utekar, speaking about working with Akshaye, praised his dedication, stating, “He is a very nice person. Though he does only a few projects, whatever he does, he does wholeheartedly.”
