After ‘Arrogance’ Critique RSS Ideologue Chandresh Kumar says: ‘Those Who Embraced Ram’s Resolve Formed Govt’

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideologue Indresh Kumar’s recent comments have sparked controversy and discussions in the political arena. On Friday, Kumar clarified his stance, stating that those who opposed Lord Ram were now out of power, while those who embraced Ram’s resolve had secured governance for the third term under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“The atmosphere of the country is very clear at this time. All those who opposed Lord Ram are out of power; those who pledged to worship Ram are in power today and for the third time, the government has been formed under the leadership of Narendra Modi,” Kumar said. He further expressed confidence in the country’s progress under Modi’s leadership, emphasizing the trust people have in him.

These statements came a day after Kumar’s remarks at the ‘Ramrath Ayodhya Yatra Darshan Poojan Samaroh’ event in Kanota near Jaipur, where he made a veiled reference to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On Thursday, he remarked, “The party which did bhakti of Lord Ram and became arrogant was stopped at 241, however, it became the biggest party.” This comment was interpreted as a critique of the BJP’s electoral performance.

Kumar also addressed the performance of the Opposition alliance – INDIA, noting, “And those who had no faith in Ram were stopped at 234.” He highlighted that arrogance in those who worship Ram led to a divine check, stating, “The vote and the power that they should have been given was stopped by God due to arrogance. Further, none amongst those who opposed Ram were given power. All of them together were made number two.”

In the recent Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the Narendra Modi-led BJP secured 240 seats independently and, with the support of allies such as Janata Dal (United), Telugu Desam Party, and Shiv Sena, reached a total of 293 seats. The Opposition alliance, INDIA, won 232 seats, marking a significant contest between the two major political factions.

These developments follow RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s earlier remarks emphasizing humility and dignity in service. Bhagwat stated, “Those who pray to Ram should be humble… Lord Ram does not discriminate and does not punish. Ram delivers justice to everyone. He gives and continues giving to all. Lord Ram was always just and will remain so.”
